Butch, I'm sorry to hear about Molly. Please give Jeanine and Larry our best. It was interesting to hear you say that Trixie raised Molly, and Molly raised Ava. Cuz Ava taught Sammy to talk!!!!!! yes the little brat is talking to us now!!

John... It has been hard to not go camping that is for sure. I remember coming home after spending 4 weeks in the mountains and walking in the house and it looking HUGE!!!! The weirdest part was washing dishes at home. WOW..... what a luxury that sink is.
It has definitely been an adjustment to go back to work but I feel fortunate to have a job. Especially one I enjoy so much.

Hey John we miss you all as well. Gotta get camping more, the poor trailer has been in storage since April !!
This "working" thing is really messing with my camping time. I've been working tons of OT. Too many darn kids trying to get into the University, It won't be too much longer before I see Caitlin's application come across my desk, not to worry I'll take good care of her.

Butch, by "the only house on the property" being gone, I meant the beaver dam cuz it was the beavers home. So John and Marcelle what do you say??? The creek is still down below on your neighbors land, so by the time it comes up and reaches your property line we could all be out. :) How much work do you think it would be to put in some RV pads? Butch already trimed some branches for ya when he was out there. How many acres are we talking about? How many RV's can we fit per acre? I'll design it for ya :) all you have to do is pay to put it in....you've had the land more than 20 years so that's gotta be paid for ...... shoot, I'll even voluteer Butch to go out and trim two more trees for you...what do you say??? It works for me :) :) :) :B

OK...Butch and John....now I'm really confused??
If the beaver is gone, then you no longer have any animals that stay on the land so is it still called a "ranch". And if the only house on the land has been washed away, then you no longer have a house in the country. Hmmmmmmmm.... I'm thinking the land is open and available to build an RV park. How many acres do you have? and How many rigs can we get up there? :)

When we bought our 5er, we took it to the dealership for ALL repairs (major and minor) we didn't really have too many problems with it, but figured it was new and had a full warranty so why not use it. This "strategy" of taking the trailer in sooooo many times worked well for us. Our trailer came with a 1 year warranty, but the manufacturer (with some persuation from our local dealership) gave us a second year for FREE!!!! Good Luck.

Thank you for posting about what happened to you. I APPRECIATE IT. It serves as a reminder to me and others to be careful out there. I am sure you had been to that Longs Drugs store many times throughout the years, and never felt unsafe/threatened/apprehensive about it. so when something seemed "weird" it was just that ...weird. Of course had you KNOWN you were going to be robbed you wouldn't have continued toward your car. Duh!

If you are coming from Southern California, then most definetly take that route thru Paso Robles. We however live in Northern California and went down, past the lake then traveled north again !!! It's a loooooooong and funny story. I think it took us about 8-9 hours to get to the lake on that trip.

TOO FUNNY .....Misty...listen carefully....DO NOT...AND I REPEAT...DO NOT...Take Hwy 101 to Paso Robles and come up to the lake from the south....it could take you SIGNIFICATLY more hours to arrive...!!
On a more positive note, doesn't Ramon do a beautiful job of parking in the dark LOL!

We too had Mission Tires on our 5er when we bought it. Keystone product of course. We too had blowouts, Tireco exchaged our tires and gave us 5 new tires (I don't even remember all the details) but we took those 5 new tires to Les Schwab they bought them from us and we purchased 5 new goodyear tires, we also replaced the valve stems to metal one and upgraded our rims to 16inch (our 5er came with 15inch tires) we got bigger and better tires and rims and knock on wood, we haven't had a blow out since!!

RE: AAA Type Service for Trailers
I have used my AAA road service. I am covered not the vehicle, so if I am driving my friends truck, or driving my own, it doesn't matter. Also, when I called AAA because of a tire blowout with our 5er, they said that the trailer is attached to the truck, therefore it's covered. They called out two tow trucks, just in case we need a bigger jack to lift the trailer. I was VERY pleased.
